I bought a lovely mckay receiver shell and a parts kit a little while back.
The hardest thing about this build seems to be getting the barrel, reciever, feed ramp in.
I have a nice parts kit/barrel from numrich and and 80% reciever from rtg on the way.
When i did mine, i cut from the front section so that i could hide the weld right at the angle where it starts to taper towards the trunnion.
Fits snug inside the.
Aside from the receiver repair section, this includes the rear sight section, but without the front.
Alternatively, has anyone done a repair section without a jig?
